Family History Connections, 6 April 2024

On Saturday 6 April 2024 Dr Rosemary Richards will speak at the Family History Connections meeting for the Early Victoria and Tasmania Interest Group (FHC-EVTIG) held at the Blackburn RSL at 10 am.

Dr Richards will discuss the book she co-edited, Memories of Musical Lives: Music and Dance in Personal Music Collections from Australia and New Zealand (Parkville, Vic: Lyrebird Press Australia, 2022). Copies of the books will be available for sale at the event.

The focus will be on the musical collections of two immigrants to early Melbourne, Georgiana McCrae and Robert Wrede. Musical examples will be provided by Clara Adams and David Adams.

The address of the Blackburn RSL is 2 Diggers Way, Blackburn, just south of Blackburn Railway Station. A gold coin donation would be appreciated from non-members of FHC-EVTIG to help cover costs.
